Ed Roy is an experienced Pilot,
Flight Instructor and Radio and TV announcer.
In his college career, Ed won numerous
National Speech and Debate Honors while attending University of Louisiana, Lafayette. He later gained graduate school credit
at both Texas A&M and Florida State Universities. Roy served as a Professor of Aerospace Science at the University of Southwestern
Louisiana.
Ed Roy has been the President of Ed Roy, Ltd. since its incorporation in April of 1976. This firm
was a Commercial Weather Service which developed a new method of presenting color graphic weather information to
companies that have weather-sensitive operations. This service has been used internationally as well as across the United
States. Roy has served as an expert meteorological and aviation witness on numerous occasions in Federal, District and City
courts for over 20 years.
Ed is also an Airline Rated pilot and flight instructor. He has logged over 12,000
hours of flight time in both single and multi-engine aircrafts as both pilot in command and instructor. He was awarded
the coveted "Eye of the Storm" award by Keesler Air Force in 1980. Since that time, he has flown into the
eye of most major hurricanes in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico.
In 1992, Ed was elected to
the Lafayette Parish Council - District D and in 1995, served as the Council President. He was honored as
the University of Southwestern Louisiana Outstanding Alumnus of the Year in 1997. Ed served for 15 years as a detective
with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office in the Criminal Intelligence Division. Presently, he is the owner of Ed
Roy, Ltd, a Private Investigative Agency and serves as President/CEO. Ed also owns Global Data Fusion, LLC,
a national background screening company providing "World Class Data Service." He is also is President/CEO
of that organization.
Ed Roy has made national television appearances which include as Guest Chef on
Lifetime Network "The Main Ingredient" with robin Mattson (Janet Green on "All My Children"). Ed
has also served as Guest Cajun Meteorologist on KUSI's "Morning Show" in San Diego, California. He has
also appeared in numerous movies including "Casey's Shadow," "The Drowning Pool," and as the Doctor
in "Certain Death."
Ed is also a contributor to "Paul Harvey News and Comments" on ABC
Radio.
Basically, he just can't seem to keep a job!
